British singing/rapping duo Bars and Melody address bullying in their song ‘Hopeful.’
British singing/rapping duo Bars and Melody remade a popular song “Hope” by rapper Twista and singer Faith Evans, replacing the original verses with ones against bullying.
Thirteen-year-old rapper Leondre Devries told British newspaper The Sun that the lyrics of the song were inspired by his past, in which he was tormented by bullies for two years.
“I used to get jumped on by a group of boys who would wait for me, then trip me up and punch and kick me,” he said.

Initially, the teen told his parents he got his bruises from sports, but later admitted to his family the truth about his wounds after suffering from depression.
“In the end I had to tell someone because I got really depressed,” he explained. “When I told my dad I just broke down in tears and cried and cried.”
