Caught on Camera: Train Derails in Mumbai

A video surveillance system captures an Indian passenger train crashing into a barrier at a Mumbai station.

MUMBAI – A security camera inside a train station in Mumbai captured a passenger locomotive crashing into a barrier before coming to a stop.

The incident happened around 11.20 a.m. on June 28, when the train entered the station at a speed of nearly 30 kph (roughly 19 mph), NDTV.com reports.

Video surveillance footage shows the train ramming into the buffers and partly mounting the platform.

Five passengers were injured during the incident. Train services were disrupted for a while after the crash.
